		<description>A wonderful exploration, and sound advice.  I had a similar experience years ago.  I would like to add a dimension to the discussion.  My years-ago conversation had as its basis the &quot;delegation of responsibility.&quot;  My mentor reminded me that, before I could delegate responsibility, I had to determine that I had given my associate the necessary AUTHORITY to carry out the responsibility.  And, said my friend, my associaate and I needed to come to an understanding that he/she would be held ACCOUNTABLE.  So . . . there I had it . . . AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY 
. . .  If my associate was to be held accountable . . . there had to be prior considerations.  Thanks for this outstanding article. </description>
